This lovely  little bowl was turned from a  portion of a tree that was felled by a tropical storm that hit the island of Maui  in 2002. David was able to salvage several pieces of this tree with the help of a local friend, Rudy

The colors  of this wood are especially pleasing and the contrast in the grain enhances their beauty. This bowl will do well on a dressing table to hold jewelry or as a condiment dish on the dining room table.
